Calming pastels and a tasteful dash of strong, modernist lines – we present the Fred Runner Rug from the original Swedish plastic rugmaker Pappelina. The Fred Runner Rug is reversible, offering 2 different colour palettes to suit your space. The Fred Runner rug can also both indoors and outdoors.
Each Pappelina rug is made at their local weaving mill in Leksand, Dalarna. To the sound of wooden shuttles rushing forth and back – a well-coordinated interplay between loom, warp and weft – create the pattern of choice.
Each rug they make represents a piece of Swedish craftsmanship and thanks to great composition, high-quality materials and devoted craftsmen and -women, we bring you the durable, contemporary and colourful design that is Pappelina.
The Pappelina Kim Rug is very practical and easy-to-care-for, with a welded ribbon for strength and durability. Each comes embossed with the Pappelina logo, at both edges.
Material: Phthalate-free PVC ribbon, polyester warp
Measurements may vary ±4% due to the weaving process. Thickness 10 mm/0.4”.

The Pappelina Fred Runner Rug is a stylish addition to my entryway. I chose the Linen Vanilla color, which complements my neutral decor beautifully. The build quality feels solid, and the reversible design gives me two looks in one. At 70 x 90cm, it fits perfectly in my space. While it’s a bit pricey at $180, the durable PVC material and Swedish craftsmanship justify the cost. It’s easy to clean and works well both indoors and outdoors. Overall, a worthwhile investment for a modern home.
